My Empty Cage
The night, without moonlight, glimmers sadly
As the fiery stars strive to light up the silent sky.
My heart smears crimson tears upon the cold night,
Mourning as my queen waves to me, good bye.

The orange ember has ceased glowing at night;
I sail like a blind, tailless comet, to a destination
Where happiness blooms as lonesomeness dies,
Where daylight forever dwells.

My world, empty and lifeless without her;
Daffodils fold up their yellow wings
As they watch my tears trickle upon the gloomy façade of the universe;
Leaves wither one after another, then fall off their branches.

Love has died and is buried in yesterday’s golden blaze.
