I didn't wanna work today
and because I can do what I want to
I came back home to waste a day
and write some poetry for you

I know that it's real cool outside
and today there's no real hot sun
but I just didn't wanna work today
I just wanted to have myself some fun

As I sit here waiting
for something fun to come my way
I really am truly happy
that I took off [again] today
